Makita Line Trimmer is Okay

I found this a good machine to review as this is the first Battery trimmer I have owned. Having previously had a Honda 435 I could certainly see a few pros and cons. I like the design of the Makita it is straightforward and functional, gets into a lot of tight corners and a great lightweight machine. I like that it has a seperate power button and the two different speeds. Now of course mentally I am comparing with a serious petrol motor of my honda so of course the Makita could not match that for genuine "grunt" however was perfectly adequate for a residential home. I did however find that i had to change the battery part way through as it ran out (5AH) but as i have more than one it was not really an issue. Now I have used a different battery machine which I borrowed whilst waiting for my Makita to arrive which had a huge battery but of course had the heavy weight to go with it so personally I far preferred the Makita,
So overall for use in a residential home I found the Makita to be a very good Line trimmer and hope to have many years of use from it ....time will tell

Mostly good

Unit has sufficient power and run time. Have had trouble with line breakages and the bump feed but may be ok when rewound with new line. The effects of unit vibration are noticeable in arms after use.
