FAQs:

Why hook & loop closure, instead of press studs?
  • Press studs are prone to tearing out - this is because the force of opening the stud is concentrated on the small area of leather it is attached to and this gradually becomes fatigued every time the jacket is opened/closed
  • Preventing this requires adding layers of reinforcement leather which adds unnecessary weight to the garment.
  • Studs also conduct heat (& electrical current) and should be insulated. Use of hook & loop keeps the garment as light as possible, and provide a better seal against spatter/sparks.
  • The opening on Promax BL7 jackets is offset, to keep the hook & loop away from the "high wear" area directly in front the operator. The "overlap" is also positioned so that the hook & loop is not exposed to sparks etc coming from the work area directly in front of the wearer. This helps to extend the garment life.
Is it possible to wash the PROMAX BL7 Blue Leather Jacket?
  • Leather should not be washed with water & should be dry-cleaned only. We recommend that you consult your dry cleaner for further advice.
