Used in suction guns, pressure pots, soda blasters and sandblasting cabinets for removal of rust, paint and scale on thin or precious materials like aluminium, brass or stainless steel.
The sodium bicarbonate used for industrial blasting has a larger granule than the type that is used in the kitchen. On impact the granules explode and turn to powder thereby making the blow a softer alternative to heavier harder grit media. This ensures soda blasting stays as a environmentally friendly alternative to normal media blasting.
